Totally easy. Three screws into the house siding. Done. Had a short piece of extension cord from the previous controller that I ran into the designated enclosed electrical connection compartment and used a common Romex strain relief clamp in the provided entrance hole.

I highly recommend the Rachio Smart Hose Timer. I use it for my overhead automatic watering system for the ferns on my front porch, and it has worked very well. One of my favorite features is being able to control the Smart Hose Timer right from the app. The app also provides helpful information about the watering, which makes it easy to monitor and manage everything. Setup was simple — it connected to my Wi-Fi easily, and the initial setup process was quick and straightforward. Overall, it’s been a convenient and reliable addition to my watering system.

This allows me to address dry spots that zoned sprinklers are missing. I'm hoping Rachio will upgrade the app to do more controls such as schedule multiple hose end sprinkler cycles rather than having to go to app for each valve.

Setup was easy enough, I setup 3 water times per day, I'm trying to grow wildflowers from seed on a rocky slope. They're starting to grow. This gizmo has really helped.

The installation was simple and seamless connecting quickly to my hub. The timer itself works well. It’s set to run rack morning at dawn which it does. Everything is handled through the app. Very pleased so far.

I cannot rave positively enough about the Rachio smart timer. I started with a set up on my greenhouse. Success! Then moved to all the raised bins in the large fenced garden as well as some in the ground flower gardens. They are easy to install and get going. Best of all, when I’m away and see there hot weather at the garden, I can give them an extra drink. I cannot recommend these enough. And the bundles helped me save some dollars. And, the Rachio customer service is excellent. Thanks!

It's easy to set up you. Can move everything from your rachio 2 to the 3 with little effort. It arrived quickly. And customer service was outstanding and helping me with the problem that I had with the rachio 2

Love this controller. I have it at 2 properties. It is simple to install and set up. Make sprinkler adjustments a one man job with the ability to turn on and off at any area in the yard.

I received my new Rachio timer and it is woking very well. However it keeps on saying that the faucet needs to be turned on as there is no water coming out. There is water coming out.

We recently moved to Florida, and upgraded our old sprinkler controller to the new Rachio. We also are using hose valves for drip system. We’d used Rachio before, in California, and appreciated the water savings from rain skip, smart watering, and automatically adjusting the watering schedule based on weather. In Florida, being able to detect if the ‘zip code rain’ watered our area is a game changer. We’re not over watering, which is saving us money as well as preventing lawn and garden health issues.

I love this. I use it to control hoses that I have to keep my swimming pool filled to the right level. I have it to a regular schedule but I also can use the af hoc schedule when necessary. I just kept track of the pool while I was 5000 miles away. Thanks for a simple but effective, well designed, well made, affordable, product.

I have a Rachio 3 that is great. I expanded my yard plantings into a forest area in my yard that had no sprinkler system. I purchased this Rachio hose timer to try and irrigate this area which was successful with a large tripod sprinkler. The area covers 2500 sf.

It has also been great. Works with the Rachio app and allows me to water regularly.

I was able to focus on planting and didn’t worry about watering.

Swapped out an old controller unit that required a computer to make system changes via a USB stick. Only took me about ten minutes. The Rachio is so much nicer and easy to use! The app is fantastic and the unit has already saved me around 1500 gallons of water with the rain skip feature. I heartily recommend this unit!

I purchased a Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controller to replace my current Hunter X2 with WiFi/Bluetooth, which had honestly been glitchy beyond belief.

However, when I reached out to my sprinkler service company about swapping out the old Hunter system for the new Rachio, they offered me a free upgrade to a Hunter Pro-HC system instead.

So while I was genuinely excited about the Rachio after reading so many excellent reviews, I ultimately decided to save the money and take the installer up on the offer.

That said, I still wanted to leave a positive review for Rachio Support because they were fantastic to work with. They responded quickly, were professional and helpful, and since I hadn’t even opened the box yet, they immediately sent me a free return shipping label and processed a full refund with zero hassle.

Honestly, the entire process was much smoother and easier than I expected. Great customer service all around. Thanks again, Rachio team!

It’s the best!! I use it for suppling motion sensor sprinklers that keep the deer away at night when they are active and I can easily shut it off if we are going out or coming home or if company is coming over. I think it’s awesome.

I finally broke down and got one after installing few on customers systems. I love the fact that I have access to my customers systems to turn on the system when I do a lawn application. I will definitely try to sell more of these to customers!

I purchased these valves just a couple of months ago and modified my existing irrigation system to accommodate a 4-way split valve drip system. They incorporated nicely into the Rachio app in just a couple of steps. Now, I can set up multiple zones for different types of vegetables, trees, and herbs. It's a good way to split up zones for specific purposes. I even have one valve ready to feed into a greenhouse. Highly recommended!

Rachio Smart Hose Timer is awesome! Since they added the ability to use more than 1 valve at a time it is now the garden star. I use 1 valve as a primary valve at the house and run a 200ft hose to the garden where I have 3 "zone" valves. That way I do not have to run 3 hoses to the garden and I don't need to leave the primary 200ft hose under pressure when it is not in use. I never have a problem with wireless range and they always work on time.

In the week it’s been operating, it seems to be functioning as it should. I confess I’m not getting up before dawn to check! Once I figured out how to set the days and run times, the set-up was easy. And I like sharing it with my tree whisperer so he can adjust scheduling if I’m not there.

Once attached to irrigation I followed instructions included and on app. Fully understood how to answer questions for my property except for type of sprinkler head. I had to educate myself. First time irrigation user. Awesome Rachio!!! 100% recommend
