Who can use a Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller?

Rachio controllers come in 4, 8 and 16-zone variants and work with most in-ground irrigation systems. (If you use a pump start relay, some additional parts may be necessary.) You’ll also need a strong Wi-Fi where the controller will be installed and a smartphone to set up your schedules.

Can I share my controller with other users, like my family, lawn pro, or gardener?

You bet! Our Shared Access feature allows you to share different levels of access with whomever you’d like!

Can Rachio controllers be installed outside?

Yes, but you will need to purchase a Weatherproof Enclosure for outdoor installations.

Can I install the controller myself?

Yes, most customers can install a Rachio controller in 30 minutes or less without the need of any special tools. To mount the controller, you may want to use drywall anchors (included) that require a drill and screwdriver.
