I converted from Rainmachine HD to Rachio 3 for the simple reason that there is an APP for my smart home system ‘Athom Homey Pro’ which allows me to plan watering according to the electricity prices. I have my own well, so water is not a problem for me.

Time will tell whether the switch in functionality a clever idea was, but I miss my touch display…
