Mis-labeled terminals

Was disappointed to find the terminals on my new Rachio3 16-zone controller mis-labeled. Zones 1 through 4 were blank, while zones 5 through 16 were labeled 1 through 12.

While only cosmetic and the controller seems to work, support is sending a replacement.

Those would be labeled if it was a 16 zone controller.

Hi tmcgahey, This is a 16-zone controller. Zone 1 actually worked when I moved the wire to the first blank terminal. Rachio doesn’t sell a 12-zone controller.

Actually, Rachio does, or at least has, sold a 12-zone controller through places like Costco. It seems as though the wrong cover was put on somehow.

They 100% did make a 12 zone, mainly sold at Costco I think. I wonder if this is old stock. Did you buy from Rachio directly?

@franz is this how the 12 zone units looked? Dont think ive actually seen the connections on a 12 zone.

Actually, did you blur out the serial number tag, or was it like that?

I blurred the label. The model # is 16ZULWCUSI and the box says 16-zone. It was purchased directly from Rachio.

Oh so that’s why things are cheaper at Costco.
