IOT Connected M2M Data Plan Bandwidth

I’d like to use a Rachio in a remote location using one of AT&Ts IOT LTE M2M data plans where you can get 500kb of data per month for 0.99 cents. Is it possible to keep the traffic down and still access the unit in a way that will be able to meet that requirement? Do you have any special settings to minimize bandwidth?

There are no settings that I am aware of that would allow you to limit or cap bandwidth use. That being said, I don’t know how much bandwidth Rachio uses. I’ve never had a reason to look!
