Hose Timer compatibility

I currently have a Rachio 3 sprinkler box controller. I’m adding a drip irrigation system on my deck and would like to control with the hose timer. Does the hose timer connect to the same app as the sprinkler control box or is it different?

The hose timer uses the same app, but doesn’t interface with controller in any way. So it will act as a completely separate device in the app with unique schedules.

Would be nice (and logical) if they did interface so that they would not water at the same time.
