Flow Meter compatibility

My backflow preventer is in my basement. I want to ensure that is ok to install it where in the section of pipe going up and out. I have attached two pictures

It looks like you have plenty of room for it. I would put it a foot up from the elbow so that it keeps you within the installations guidelines and gives you plenty of room for the install.
