Engineering Roadmap: WPA3 Support, Improved WiFi Security

post by Emerson3 on Aug 12, 2025

Given the limitations with WPA2, can anyone at Rachio give us an update on the engineering team’s long term roadmap regarding the eventual roll out of WPA3 support for securing WiFi connections on products like the Rachio 3 smart sprinkler controller? Are we looking at 2027 or more likely 2028?

Thank you for the question.

We are looking at WPA3 support, but I do not have a timeframe for support.
